Streetlight Management can be used to collect streetlights, cabinets and poles, streamline inspection and maintenance activities, and understand asset conditions.
Streetlights illuminate roads, intersections, street corners, and many other public spaces. These raised sources of light increase visibility, prevent collisions, and discourage theft or violence. Furthermore, properly maintained streetlights stimulate commercial activity and improve the quality of life in a community. Streetlights can account for up to 40% of a community’s electricity bill. To reduce costs, many communities are replacing traditional streetlights with energy-efficient, programmable LEDs. The programmable streetlights are also becoming part of larger “connected community” initiatives, delivering new services and insights. As a result, many government organizations are buying back streetlights from local utilities and must now routinely inspect and maintain their streetlight collections.
The Streetlight Management solution delivers a set of capabilities that help state and local governments collect streetlights and poles, conduct routine inspection and maintenance assignments, and understand asset conditions.
