Introduction to 3D Buildings

3D Buildings can be used to author and maintain 3D content for an organization.

It includes a series of workflows that streamline the creation and maintenance of 3D content that supports diverse information needs. This optimized approach allows organizations to use existing data (for example, lidar, building footprints, and 3D meshes) and generate 3D visualizations that increase understanding and community engagement. 3D Buildings is typically implemented by planning departments, emergency management agencies, GIS departments, and utilities that want to use 3D to visualize the built environment.

The 3D Buildings solution delivers a set of capabilities that help you use existing data, develop a standard set of 3D layers, and visualize your community in an immersive way.
