Introduction to Pipeline Referencing Foundation

Pipeline Referencing Foundation can be used to accelerate an ArcGIS Pipeline Referencing implementation for gas and hazardous liquid pipelines.

Mapping pipelines and spatially representing asset and operational data is a key enabler for pipeline operators. It increases pipeline integrity, ensures safety, drives operating efficiency, and assists with regulatory compliance. All of these factors contribute to a pipeline operator’s profitability. As a result, many pipeline operators use linear referencing to map their pipelines and operational data along the pipeline. ArcGIS Pipeline Referencing provides linear referencing data management capabilities tailored for gas and hazardous liquid pipelines.

The Pipeline Referencing Foundation delivers a set of capabilities that help pipeline operators model their gas and hazardous liquid pipelines in ArcGIS and accelerate their ArcGIS Pipeline Referencing implementation.
