Note:
Use your organization's data or configured apps to follow these workflows.Find your zone
Know Your Zone can be used by the public to locate an address or place and obtain information about the evacuation zone and current evacuation status of that location. Search for an address in the search bar or click a location directly on the map to define the location to be searched.
In this workflow, you will assume the role of a resident in Baltimore who wants to know in which evacuation zone you're located.
- In a browser, from the Know Your Zone solution, view the Know Your Zone app.
- On the right, in the Find Your Zone panel, type the address.
The map zooms to the location, and the result that displays in the panel indicates in which evacuation zone, if any, the address is located.
You can also find evacuation zone information by clicking a point on the map.
- On the map, click a point.
On the right, the results indicate in which evacuation zone, if any, the point that you clicked resides.
- Close the Know Your Zone app.
Note:
When a storm is approaching and evacuation orders are implemented, Know Your Zone can be configured to inform users of the current evacuation status of each zone. See Configure Know Your Zone to learn more.
