The following table describes reported bugs that were fixed at ArcGIS Earth 1.8:

Known issues

The following table describes known issues and limitations in the current release:

FeatureDescription

Install ArcGIS Earth

When install and launch ArcGIS Earth from the Microsoft Store, administrator cannot preset or modify application configuration parameters in the configuration file.

KML

  • Pop-up window does not display when playing the KML map tour.
  • Unlocking Windows may cause ArcGIS Earth to crash if the KML networklink layers are still loading.

Web map

The following layers and settings configured in the web map are not supported in ArcGIS Earth:

  • Bookmarks
  • CSV layer
  • KML layer
  • Image service vector layer

Version 2.0 of web maps and higher are supported; pre-2.0 versions are not supported.

Web scene

The following layers and settings configured in the web scene are not supported in ArcGIS Earth:

  • CSV layer
  • Group layer
  • Presentation slides
  • Environment settings

Feature service

  • BUG-000114141—ArcGIS Earth does not display the hosted feature service from ArcGIS Online if an expression-based symbology is applied to the hosted feature service.
  • BUG-000114114—The unique point symbology with Customer(Expression) is displayed incorrectly in ArcGIS Online.

Disconnected environment

Zooming to the following layers may cause ArcGIS Earth to crash if you are working in a disconnected environment:

  • Scene layer packages that are stored in a shared network drive
  • Raster layers that are stored in a shared network drive

Rendering effects of shapefiles that are stored in shared network drive may be wrong if you are working in a disconnected environment.

Identify

Cannot highlight the identified object of the scene layer.

Settings

Auto-zoom to new layer option does not work on portal items.
