Description
An invalid network element ID was encountered while performing the operation. The message includes the element ID that caused the failure along with the SourceID and GlobalID values of the associated feature for correction. This error can be returned in various scenarios including the following:
- Validating the network topology for an extent containing invalid network elements
- Performing a trace operation that traverses invalid network elements
Solution
The Rebuild Network Topology tool can be used to rebuild the network topology and repair inconsistencies when you encounter failures that prevent the validate network topology or trace operations from completing. This functionality is also exposed through the Rebuild current extent command on the Utility network tab on the ribbon. Use the information provided in the error to identify the appropriate extent and run the rebuild operation.
Alternatively, disable and enable the network topology to address the inconsistencies.
Note:
In rare instances, the error message may return empty SourceID and GlobalID values. If this occurs, contact Esri Technical Support to report the behavior so that it can be addressed.
