Description

When performing a subnetwork trace in which the Subnetwork Name parameter value is specified, any starting points that are set will be ignored. When the Subnetwork Name parameter value is specified, the subnetwork controller for the subnetwork will be used as the starting point.

Solution

For subnetwork traces, use either starting points or a Subnetwork Name value, but not both. Do one of the following:

• Clear the starting points in the Trace Locations pane.

• Do not specify a value for the Subnetwork Name parameter when starting points are set in the Trace Locations pane.
