What's new
Major and minor releases also include new functionality, which is described in What's new for ArcGIS AllSource 1.5..
ArcGIS AllSource and ArcGIS Pro
ArcGIS AllSource is a geospatial-enabled intelligence workstation for intelligence professionals. ArcGIS Pro is a professional GIS system for users in many industries. Both applications share many common features and capabilities but focus on different types of users. For comparison purposes, the following table shows the equivalent versions of ArcGIS AllSource and ArcGIS Pro:
| ArcGIS AllSource version | ArcGIS Pro version |
|---|---|
ArcGIS AllSource 1.5 | ArcGIS Pro 3.6 |
ArcGIS AllSource 1.4 | ArcGIS Pro 3.5 |

ArcGIS AllSource and ArcGIS Enterprise
ArcGIS is a system that can be extended with multiple products to fit many needs. Two products that are frequently used together are ArcGIS AllSource and ArcGIS Enterprise. Major and minor versions of these products are developed together and released within months of each other so that shared functionality can be introduced and improved.
Tip:
Although earlier and later versions of ArcGIS AllSource and ArcGIS Enterprise work together for most functionality, pairing companion versions is recommended. When that isn't possible, staying within a range of two companion versions is recommended.
The following table lists the companion versions:
| ArcGIS AllSource version | ArcGIS Enterprise version |
|---|---|
ArcGIS AllSource 1.5 | ArcGIS Enterprise 12.0 |
ArcGIS AllSource 1.4 | ArcGIS Enterprise 11.5 |
ArcGIS AllSource 1.3 | ArcGIS Enterprise 11.4 |
ArcGIS AllSource 1.2 | ArcGIS Enterprise 11.3 |
| ArcGIS AllSource 1.1 | ArcGIS Enterprise 11.2 |

When specific minimum software version combinations are required for a certain functionality, that is stated in the documentation for that functionality.
Removal and deprecation notices
Notices are released when it is determined that functionality will be removed from a future version of ArcGIS AllSource. The notices describe what will be removed, so you can evaluate whether your workflows will be affected; alternative functionality, so you can find other ways to reach the same or similar results; and when the removal will occur if known.
Third-party deprecations that impact ArcGIS AllSource
VBScript
With Windows 11, version 24H2, VBScript becomes a feature on demand. Although it is enabled by default in version 24H2, disabling it will cause certain functionality in ArcGIS AllSource to stop working.
In a later Windows release, the VBScript feature will be disabled by default, and users will need to manually enable it if required. Microsoft has announced plans to fully remove VBScript from Windows in later versions. ArcGIS AllSource users are strongly encouraged to prepare for its removal as soon as possible.
Snowflake
Snowflake is removing support for single-factor authentication with passwords this year. This will impact connections to Snowflake from all releases of ArcGIS AllSource. For information about the steps you must take to ensure that you can continue to access data in Snowflake, see Esri technical article 35129 and the ArcGIS Blog article Snowflake to Block Single-Factor Authentication: What You Need to Know.
Bing Maps
Bing Maps will be retired in 2028 and replaced with Azure Maps. See the Microsoft Azure documentation for instructions on migrating from Bing Maps to Azure Maps.
