You can share a presentation definition as a presentation file (.prsx) to share presentations among projects. A presentation file includes a presentation view; elements; and references to maps, layers and data sources. If the data cannot be found, you must repair the data source on the Page Properties dialog box before sharing a presentation file.
A presentation file can be shared by email or over the network, or the local file that is created can be added manually to your ArcGIS Online organization. You can add presentation files to new or existing projects.
Note:
Presentation files (.prsx) that are saved using ArcGIS Pro 3.4 cannot be imported by earlier versions of ArcGIS AllSource.
Create a presentation file
To create a .prsx file, complete the following steps:
- Click the Presentation view to activate it.
- On the Share tab in the Save As group, click the Presentation File button .
- On the Save Presentation As Presentation File dialog box, browse to the location where you want to save the file or accept the default location, and provide a name for the new presentation file or accept the default name.
- Click Save to create the presentation definition file.
Import a presentation file
To import a .prsx file into a project, complete the following steps:
- On the Insert tab, in the Project group, click the New Presentation drop-down menu and click the Import Presentation button .
- Browse to the .prsx file you want to import.
- Select the file and click OK.
The presentation is added to the project and the presentation view opens. Any associated maps or videos used as pages are also added to the project.
