You access and update aspects of a presentation page in the Page Properties pane. The properties differ for each page type, with some common properties.
Some page properties list information about the page and are read-only. For example, you cannot edit the page number and the page type of a presentation page.
To access properties for a page or multiple pages, right-click the pages and click Properties 
. You can also double-click a single page to open its properties. The title of the Page Properties pane indicates when more than one page is selected. In this case only properties shared by the selected pages can be modified.
Once a property has been applied, you can preview most updates to the page in the presentation view. This includes a one-time animation of the transition effect. However, for example, Locked page edits is not a visible property change to preview. Turn on Auto-Apply at the bottom of the Page Properties pane if you want to preview property changes automatically.
Common properties you can access for all page types are described in the following table:

Page Type | The type of page: map, blank, image, or video. If multiple pages are selected, this property is blank. |
Visible | Specify whether the page is visible or hidden from the presentation. When this property is unchecked, the page is hidden from display but not removed from the presentation. |
Locked | Specify whether the page is locked to prevents further edits. When this property is checked and the lock property is applied, changes to other page properties are unavailable. |
Background Color | The background color of the page. For a map, image, or video page, the background color may be obscured by the full page map, image, or video. |
Background Offset | Adjust the position of the background map, image, or video. This is useful when you want to leave space for text that will not overlap the map, image, or video for the page. For example, set the left offset value to 25% to reduce the width of the map and move it toward the center of the page, leaving the left 25% of the page empty. |
Background Border | Only applies to map pages. You can hide the map's border outline from appearing on the page. This is apparent only when the map has been adjusted to take up less than 100% of the page background by changing Offset values. Hiding the background border improves page design by minimizing overlapping lines if you have other elements on the page. |
Transition Type | Specify the transition experience for the page when it is displayed in full screen:

Transition Duration | The length of time for the transition effect to complete. The default duration is 2 seconds. |
Advance Page After Specified Duration | Specify whether the page automatically advances after the specified duration. When checked, the page automatically advances. The default automatic page advancement is 10 seconds. When this property is unchecked, you must manually transition to the next page using the full-screen playback buttons or keyboard shortcuts. To advance a video page, ensure that the Advance Page After Specified Duration property value is longer than the video duration. For example, a 15 second video requires a 15.1 second or longer advancement time. Any duration time greater than the video duration is used as a wait time on the page at the end of the video before advancing to the next page. A value less than the video duration is ignored and the page moves to the next page when the video completes. |
Unique page properties
Map, image, and video pages include properties that are unique to that page type. The following are page-specific properties:
- Map Source—View or change the reference map for the map page. You can change the reference map from the drop-down list to another map or scene open in the project.
- Image Source—View or change the source image for the image page. Click the Browse button
and browse to and select the media file. - Video Source—View or change the reference video for the video page. Click the Browse button and browse to and select the media file.
- Video Duration—Customize the portion of the video you want to appear when the page is displayed by editing the start and end times of the video. You can drag the sliders or provide a value. For example, you can change the start time of the video from 00:00.000 seconds to 00:03.000 seconds to skip the first 3 seconds of the beginning of the video.
