The vertical unit of the elevation source does not match the linear unit of the scene's coordinate system. When a web scene is shared, all layers are reprojected to the coordinate system of the scene. The reprojection does not affect the pixel values of the elevation source, so it is necessary for the linear units to match prior to sharing a web scene. For example, if an elevation source is specified in feet and the scene is specified in meters, the scene must be set to a coordinate system that uses feet or the elevation source must be reprojected to a coordinate system in meters.
Solutions
- Change the coordinate system of your scene to match the coordinate system of the elevation source.
- Reproject the elevation source using the Project Raster tool and use the Raster Calculator tool to convert the pixel values.
