The map contains a layer with an invalid definition query. The query may be invalid due to the schema of the data source changing or it may be using incorrect syntax.
Solutions
Do any of the following
- Fix the syntax of the query definition.
- Add all the features back into the layer display. To do this, delete the query.
- Remove the layer from the map.

If you only want to display features with certain attributes in a web feature layer or vector tile layer, you can apply a definition query to the layer. For example, you may want to display only cities with a population above a certain value. Enter a query expression to define the definition query.
