Overview
NASA GeoCover land cover data is used to determine areas suitable for helicopter landing zones (HLZ). Input GeoCover categories are reclassified to Acceptable or Acceptable With Caution conditions in the output HLZ map.
Notes
Output values are 1 for the Acceptable condition and 2 for the Acceptable With Caution condition. All other values are unacceptable for helicopter operations and are removed from the output raster.
The following GeoCover values are used :
