USGCB

USGCB logo

The purpose of the United States Government Configuration Baseline (USGCB) initiative is to create security configuration baselines for Information Technology products widely deployed across federal agencies. The USGCB baseline evolved from the Federal Desktop Core Configuration (FDCC) mandate. The USGCB is a Federal Government-wide initiative that provides guidance to agencies on what should be done to improve and maintain effective configuration settings focusing primarily on security.

Esri in-scope Services

  • ArcGIS Desktop 10.1 and later are USGCB self-certified
  • ArcGIS Pro 1.4.1 and later are USGCB self-certified

As current USGCB operating system images are no longer distributed by NIST, Esri continues to validate each release against the current Windows Long-Term Servicing Channel (LTSC) with hardening baseline in place.
