There are several options for navigating the map.
To begin exploring with your mouse, move the mouse pointer so it is in the middle of the map display. Use the following table as a guide for completing navigation actions with the mouse.
Using the mouse to navigate offers the most flexibility. You can zoom to a specific area by pressing the Shift key and holding the mouse button while dragging a rectangle on the map. There is no equivalent to this using the zoom tools.

Move or pan the map
Click the left mouse button and drag the map in the direction you want it to move.
Zoom in to a specific area on the map
Hold down the Shift key, and click and drag a rectangle with the left mouse button that designates the area of interest.
Zoom out to a specific area on the map
Hold down the Shift and Ctrl keys, and click and drag a rectangle with the left mouse button that designates the area of interest.
Zoom in on the map at the location of the mouse pointer
Double-click the left mouse button on the point of interest.
The zoom in (+), zoom out (-), default extent, and find my location tools are shown at the lower right corner of the map and allows you to easily zoom in and out.
To use the zoom tools, do the following:
