Cancel or delete an event

Core team members can cancel or delete an event.

Cancel an event

Cancel an event to inform attendees that the event will no longer take place. Canceling the event does not delete it. If the event was created by a core team member with a community account, only the event's original creator or a community administrator can cancel the event.

  1. Open an event in edit mode.
  2. Select the more button on the edit navigation bar.
  3. Click Cancel Event.
  4. Optionally provide an explanation as to why the event was canceled.
  5. Click Cancel Event.
Tip:

When you cancel an event, the event's information is saved, and you can use to reschedule the event at a later time. To activate a canceled event, click the more button in the event's view and click Reactivate Event.

Delete an event

Delete an event to permanently remove the event's page and all its content. If the event was created by a core team member with a community account, only the event's original creator or a community administrator can fully delete the event.

  1. Open an event in edit mode.
  2. Select the more button on the edit navigation bar.
  3. Click Delete Event.
  4. Optionally provide an explanation as to why the event is being deleted and click Delete Event.
