Search for files

ArcGIS GeoPlanner allows you to discover documents and images in your ArcGIS organization so you can associate them with your planning project.

Complete the following steps to search for these files:

  1. Click Open Menu Open Menu.
  2. Click Attachment > Search for Files.
  3. Specify the scope of the search by clicking one of the following tabs:
    • My Content
    • My Project
    • My Organization
    • All
  4. Check the Documents check box, the Images check box, or both to filter the search results by type.
  5. Provide keywords in the Search text box to perform your search.

    You can search for a file using its name or the following types:

    • Microsoft Word and Excel
    • Comma-separated values (CSV)
    • Shapefile
    • Map package
    • GeoJSON
    • Service definition
    • Layer package
    • PDF
    • KML
    • PNG, JPG, TIFF, and GIF
    • File geodatabase
    • Map document
    • CityEngine Web Scene
    • Desktop application template
    • Native application
    • Code attachment
    • Explorer map
    • Scene package
    • Scene document
    • Tile package
    • Vector tile package

  6. Click Open next to the file you want to download.

The file opens or downloads depending on its format. You can also click Details to open it in your ArcGIS organization.
