System requirements

There are certain device requirements to run Explorer, as well as requirements on the data used within the app.

Data requirements

To use your maps in Explorer, you must have an ArcGIS organizational account. Your maps can include data from ArcGIS Online, Portal for ArcGIS, and ArcGIS for Server.

Explorer for ArcGIS 10.2.7 was released in November 2014. It includes the following enhancements:

Mac

Explorer for ArcGIS 10.2.4 was released in September 2014. It includes the following enhancements:

  • Localized into Arabic, Czech, Danish, Dutch, English, Finnish, French, German, Hebrew, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Norwegian, Polish, Portuguese (Brazil), Portuguese (Portugal), Romanian, Russian, Simplified Chinese, Spanish, Swedish, and Turkish
  • Various bug fixes and improvements

Android

Explorer for ArcGIS was first released on Android in December 2014 as version 10.2.6.
